You’ve made the right decision, Tailgate. I’ll be happy to assist in any way that I can to make your transition smoother.

But, yes, unfortunately a bit of studying is necessary. I wouldn’t want you to get caught up in a technicality and find yourself in need of correction.

Regrettably I don't have a copy of the handbook to lend you. But, fortunately, I have it entirely memorized and I'd be happy to write you out an outline.

As for an exam, I will of course test you upon the completion of your three month training period. A twenty paragraph essay may be excessive, but we will do some field training and of course an oral report at that time.

If you'd like, whenever you have a free moment, I can host you in my quarters and we can begin to go over the proper paperwork and begin drafting your first PDP.

Personal Development Plan.

[Tarn is about to show Tailgate a whole new administrative Hell that he probably never thought possible.]

It's a three stage plan that helps you reflect on your place within the Decepticons.

Stage 1- Personal Analysis. Evaluating your strengths and weaknesses is essential for deciding where you stand within the Decepticons. These should be supplemented by the perceived opportunities that will have been derived from your experiences and any threats to your continued success.

Stage 2- This involves setting new and clearly definable goals for yourself. You will need to consult me, your superior officer, to identify these and iron out the details.

And of Course, Stage 3- setting out your personal objectives.

Of course this would be easier to go over in person. We also have the self-assessment matrices, and the competency frameworks

I'm all about justice, Tailgate. And what is justice without rules and regulations?

Yes, a bit of dirty work is necessary to uphold my position within the Decepticons, but I do what I must to keep everything running as smoothly as possible.

Bettering the troops and giving them goals to aim for ultimately makes my job easier. A well adjusted, ambitious Decepticon is less likely to defect.
